FUSIBLE PLUG, PROTECTION PLUGS FOR SIEMENS FLUID COUPLINGS


A fusible plug assembly for a hydraulic turbo-coupling operates as a safety valve (overload protective devices) for the fluid couplings when dangerous temperatures are reached in a closed vessel. Incase of over heating of the coupling, the fusible plug provided on the coupling melts and oil filled in the hydraulic coupling is drained off and thus power transmission through the coupling is stopped.
